For electrical connection, Fans have 2 wires that can be connected to earth and Live, to reverse direction of rotation simply reverse wires. It fitting a switch or thermostat this should be fitted to the live side of the fan 4.

If fitting Our thermostat a. Connect live side of fan to terminal 2 b.
